KECE’s History

KECE was established in 1980 as a one man operation under the philosophy of providing ecologically based services that are cost-effective and time sensitive to a range of private corporations, agricultural land owners, non-governmental organizations, private individuals, and public sector clients. Today, the firm continues to specialize in developing and applying progressive ecological approaches to a variety of projects ranging from the planning and permitting of the newest university for the State of Florida to providing ecological expertise as part of an international team working for the Malaysian government. Our ecologists have obtained professional certification through the Ecological Society of America (ESA) which requires a strong educational background in ecology combined with years of documented professional experience and demonstrated environmental ethics.

An Experienced Team

Our ecologists have a wide range of expertise from wetlands ecology to wildlife biology to watershed management to environmental permitting and planning. Our three lead project managers have over 80 years of professional experience to guide projects from site assessment through design, permitting, and construction on budget and on schedule. There’s not many environmental problems that we haven’t dealt with over the last 38 years. Our range of services also includes expert witness testimony and litigation assistance on complex and problematic issues including logging, phosphate mining, biodiversity conservation and Everglades protection. KECE has extensive experience with forming professional teams and collaborating with other companies to provide a full range of professional expertise to produce the best project outcome for our clients and it’s also how we minimize our overhead and cost to our clients.
